James Gregory Anderson, DDS

Meet Clinton Oral Surgeon Dr. Anderson

Dr. Anderson grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He achieved his Bachelor of Arts degree at The University of Tennessee- Knoxville, majoring in Biology and Economics. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis. He then completed his surgical residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Tennessee Medical Center- Knoxville, Graduate School of Medicine, where he developed a strong foundation in dental and medical principles. Dr. Anderson was then fortunate enough to obtain a prestigious fellowship in Facial Cosmetic Surgery, which he completed in Seattle, Washington.

During his surgical residency and fellowship, he gained extensive training in all facets of his specialty. Anderson’s clinical practice encompasses a diverse range of surgical procedures, including wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, facial cosmetic surgery, corrective jaw surgery, soft/hard tissue grafts, oral and facial pathology, TMJ, and maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction. Dr. Anderson’s practice also entails a medical nurse aesthetician. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Anderson is actively involved in academics. He is a surgical attending with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Tennessee Medical Center- Knoxville where he mentors surgical residents.

Dr. Anderson envisioned and designed a state-of-the-art facility, which contains an ambulatory surgery center. He is also persistent about using cutting edge technology, such as 3-D imaging and computer assisted surgical planning to enhance patient outcomes.

When he is not in the operating room, Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He has a passion for collecting art as well as hunting and fly fishing. He is a devoted “VOL FOR LIFE” and takes pleasure in attending the University of Tennessee athletic events.
